Brief
Centaur Subaru, as the car sponsor of Servus Calgary Marathon, wanted to present every finisher of the race with their official finish time displayed on the roof clock of a Subaru Solterra, along with the runner’s name and the distance on a race bib in the photo. The personalized photos were to be sent to the participants as attachments in emails.
Solution
Together with the race timer of Servus Calgary Marathon, Startline Timing, we set up an integration between our systems, allowing us to get finisher details as soon as possible after the runner crossing the finish line. Once the data was provided, we created the personalized photo for the runner and sent it to them by email. The average delay from information provided until email was sent was about 3 seconds.
Finish time photos were sent to all finishers in the 60K ultra marathon, the marathon, the half marathon, the 10K and the 5K.
